“An evening of Irish music and culture with Duncan Cameron & friends for St. Patrick’s Day”

Come and experience authentic Irish music, dance & story in an intimate and family-friendly setting. Real Irish songs & stories led by multi-Instrumentalist, singer & storyteller Duncan Cameron with chance to learn some yourself.  Performaces from local musicians & dancers. Try out traditional Irish ceili dancing with caller Lou Hayden, no experience required!

Duncan Cameron is a bilingual singer and multi-instrumentalist whose performances

highlight the variety of traditional folk music from Ontario, Quebec, the East Coast,

Ireland, Scotland, and elsewhere. Classical, country, and rock music have also added to

his repertoire and influenced his thoughtful arrangements and compositions.

The fiddle is Duncan’s first instrument, but he also plays mandolin, guitar, Irish

bouzouki, tin whistle, harmonica, banjo, ukulele, bodhrán and English concertina. He

has toured, recorded with, and composed music for many groups including The Pierre

Schryer Band, Fig For A Kiss, The Irish Descendants and Fagroongala. Duncan is a

winner of the 2019 Jackie Washington Award for outstanding contributions to arts and

culture in Northern Ontario.
